Enjoying the Great Outdoors in a Camping Tent
This article looks at the different tastes that people may have in camping and encourages people to think for themselves when it comes to choosing the ‘best’ place to camp, expressing their own individuality as opposed to just going where everyone recommends, which will not be suitable for everyone.
Campers, it has to be said, are a little like fishermen. Others always have had better experiences than you. If you have found the best tents, campsite or the best place to camp in the UK, then they have found the best place to camp in the world, if not the Universe. You personal taste will play a large part in finding a great place to camp. One man’s Chalk is another man’s cheese.
You should go for the big campsites if you are more of a social person, here you can mingle with other campers and have fun and enjoy the3 experience together.
The choice of camping tents also can often be bewildering and I will cover this in another article- watch this space!
You could on the other hand, be a camper who would find this a nightmare. If on the other hand you like the quite life, then go somewhere off the beaten track where you can enjoy the wildlife in isolation and quite.
Good campsites have the facilities that you are looking for.
You need the permission of the owner for a field that is not a designated campsite. In Practice it is not always possible to track down the owner of a piece of land you would like to camp on to give you the required permission.
Within the camping community you will often hear of camping sites that other people have used and they can tell you the best places to camp and where to avoid like the plague. What might seem a swell place to set up camp at night may turn out to be just the opposite the following morning.
You need to find out what your tastes are. What is right for one person might not be great for another, we are all different. Choose what you like and where you want to be rather than following the pack. Camping is about you as a person and not about just following trends so go your own way and listen to recommendations, but keep a level head, one size does not fit all when it comes to camping.
