A world of variety with Florida holidays
Florida has long been a favourite in this country for holidays to the United States of America. It is on the east coast of America and a hotbed for tourists with plenty of fun family activities and destinations to see and do. Florida has plenty of activities for families that have been very popular such as theme parks and a whole lot of other family friendly attractions.
With Florida being on the south eastern coast of the USA it is in perfect position not being not as far away as western coast destinations like Los Angeles but it is also close to the equator meaning you can get warm temperatures during most months of the year. A lot of UK tourists will aim to take their holidays during the school holidays and early summer is perfect for Florida holidays, late on in August though the hurricane season can cause problems and should be avoided as heavy rain and high winds can really put a damper on your holiday.
Florida has a strong tourism industry with it making up a large percentage of local businesses such as hotels, restaurants and the many attractions. There are plenty of theme parks and wildlife parks in Florida which are all close to holiday resorts. The Disney Land theme park is a major draw as is Universal Studios. Both of these parks can get busy so it’s advisable to plan your trip and book in advance.
Other theme parks and attractions include Busch Gardens with plenty of wildlife and Sea World is another must see with its impressive marine life and performances from trained animals like dolphins and killer whales. There are more attractions than just theme parks with the Everglades and Florida Keys providing a welcome retreat from the crowds at the theme parks. For those looking for a vibrant night life there is nothing more impressive than Miami’s nightlife with many bars and night clubs for those looking for some evening entertainment.
Florida has so much going on that tourists coming to the area typically will hire a car during their stay making them able to drive around and get to all the attractions and sights in the state. Whether you are booking into multiple hotels along the state during your visit or you are staying in one place there is plenty to do throughout Florida and with late deals available including flights going to and from the destination it is perfect for family holidays whatever time of the year you choose to go.
